Assisi House is a Franciscan retreat house situated within and owned by St Bonaventure University. As a result, there has been mutual cooperation and understanding in many areas that has seen it grow and develop amidst pressing challenges.
Assisi House has 14 self-contained rooms and a 3 bedroomed house next to the staff compound.
The main building has in addition a laundry, kitchen with attached storeroom, dining room (which can accommodate roughly about 30 people), a small lounge which doubles as a TV room, an adoration chapel and an office for the administrator.
Detached from the main building are 2 listening rooms and a chapel.
The three bedroomed house in the staff compound has a lounge, dining room, laundry and kitchen.
The isolation and serene environment is an added advantage as is the most reference comment from our guests. Those who have used the place before are pleased with the environment and are our best advertisers.
The presence of the friars and especially the availability of the friar priests for spiritual direction, accompaniment and confessions is very much appreciated by our guests.
